Raise and restore sunken concrete slabs cost-effectively
What Is Mudjacking / Slabjacking?
Sunken concrete slabs are a trip hazard and can indicate soil problems beneath. Mudjacking (also called slabjacking) is a proven, cost-effective technique to raise settled concrete without full replacement. We drill small holes in the slab, inject a cement-soil slurry (or polyurethane foam) beneath, and raise the slab back to its original level. This is typically 50-70% less expensive than slab replacement.
What's Included
Our Process
Assessment
We evaluate the slab condition, determine the cause of settlement, and confirm mudjacking is appropriate.
Drilling
Small holes (1-2 inches) are drilled in strategic locations through the sunken slab.
Injection
Slurry mix is pumped under pressure to fill voids and lift the slab to the target elevation.
Leveling
We monitor the lift precisely, stopping when the slab reaches the correct level.
Patching
Drill holes are filled with matching concrete and the area is cleaned.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is mudjacking permanent?
Mudjacking provides long-lasting results, often 5-10+ years, but the underlying cause of settlement must be addressed (usually drainage or soil compaction). If the soil problem is not corrected, future settling may occur.
Can all sunken slabs be mudjacked?
Mudjacking works best for slabs that are structurally intact (not cracked into many pieces) and have settled due to soil voids or compaction. Slabs with significant cracking or those over severely compromised soil may not be good candidates.
